Registration is currently open for two fall Mindfulness Center courses. The six-week virtual Introduction to Mindfulness for Healthcare Employees course begins next week, with the first class on Wednesday, September 25 from 7-8:30 pm. This course is free to all UVA Health employees and open to others for a fee. In addition to being an opportunity to learn about mindfulness for those with little prior experience, it can also serve as a refresher for those who have taken other mindfulness courses.
The virtual Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction course begins on Monday, October 21 from 4 -6:30 pm. Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction is the most studied mindfulness program in the world and has been demonstrated to have many psychological and physical health benefits. It is open to all for a fee. Fees are on a sliding scale, and partial scholarships are also available. Please see below for more information and the registration links. |
