New Introduction to Mindfulness for Healthcare Employees Course to Be Offered in February
The Mindfulness Center will begin offering a new course for healthcare employees starting in February. This six-week course, Introduction to Mindfulness for Healthcare Employees, is a shorter version of the eight-week, 20-hour Mindfulness for Healthcare Employees program that the Mindfulness Center has offered for over 20 years.
This introductory course is ideal for those who work in healthcare and want to learn about mindfulness and how to apply it to reduce stress both at work and at home with a lesser initial time commitment. It can be taken alone, as an introductory offering before taking the full 20-hour course, or as a follow-up to the longer course for those who want a refresher.
The course will meet 5:00 to 6:30 pm on Tuesdays from February 6 to March 13, 2024. It is free for all UVA Health employees.
