Virtual Meditation on the Lawn to start September 12
The University of Virginia Contemplative Sciences Center will begin the Virtual Meditation on the Lawn sessions on September 12, 2022. They will be held every Monday from 7:45-8:00 am EDT through December 19, 2022, during the Fall 2022 semester. The weekly program is a series of short, 15-minute, drop-in guided meditation sessions led by facilitators.
Virtual Meditation on the Lawn was created in October 2020, during the height of the COVID pandemic, to bring an opportunity for contemplative pause and intentional renewal each week to the UVA community and broader public.
Each Monday morning during the semester, before the regular workday commences, alumni, parents, faculty, staff and friends of UVA gather synchronously online for a moment of reflection and resolve to begin the new day.
