2015 Workshop
A Contemplative Learning and Research in Higher Education workshop was held at UVa on May 25 and was well-attended, with participants coming from multiple states as far south as Georgia and as far north as Pennsylvania. Both plenary speakers – John Dunne of Religious Studies at Emory University and Susan Bauer-Wu of the School of Nursing at the University of Virginia – gave very stimulating talks. There were interactive discussions focused on exploring and developing sustainable working collaborations between and among universities. The Organizing Committee is moving forward with the group’s decisions to have this as an annual event that will rotate among regional institutions, and as such is planning another conference for Spring 2016 at Virginia Tech.
