Instructor Update

December 20, 2017 by School of Medicine Webmaster

Susanna Williams has had a very busy fall, teaching mindfulness in multiple settings across grounds at UVa. She taught the three-credit on-line course “The Science and Practice of Mindfulness” for the Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies program through the School of Continuing and Professional Studies, she led her fourth annual Mindful Law class for students in the Law School, she taught the pilot program for MB- PEAPOD, a new mindfulness study to reduce excess weight gain and stress among pregnant women, and she has begun working in the School of Nursing to develop a wisdom curriculum to cultivate the cognitive, affective and compassionate capacities of nursing students.  She is now going to use the holiday break to recharge by attending a 10-day meditation retreat in Mexico.
