John W. Travis, MD, MPH, specialized in preventive medicine at Johns Hopkins University, founded the first wellness center in the US (1975), and co-authored several books including the best-selling, Wellness Workbook. Dr. Travis’s work has been a powerful set of models for the full spectrum of health. His 12 dimensions of health include breathing, moving and meaning — quite a compliment to MBSR.
