Jeffrey M. Testani, MD, MTR, is an assistant professor of medicine in the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine at Yale University, with specialized training in advanced heart failure and transplant cardiology. Dr. Testani completed a combined MD/MTR (Master of Science in Translational Research) degree at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, where he also completed residency and fellowship training.
Dr. Testani’s research aims to develop methodology to allow more accurate identification of mechanistic subtypes of renal dysfunction at the individual patient level, with the goal of conducting trials of therapeutic strategies tailored to specific mechanistic phenotypes of cardio-renal dysfunction.
- Understand the mechanism and clinical implications of changes in renal function during the treatment of decompensated heart failure
- Understand the physiology of loop diuretic response and dosing
- Learn about treatment approaches to diuretic refractory patients
