Last week at the Mid-Atlantic Young Investigator Forum, Marta Stremska, a graduate student in Dr. Sharma’s lab, won 4th Place in the basic science category. The title of her talk was “Interleukin (Il)-2 – Il-33 Fusion Cytokine; A Novel Therapeutic Approach For Acute Kidney Injury.”
Eric Mace, an undergraduate student in Dr. Okusa’s lab, also placed highly in the basic science category. The title of his talk was “Prior Ultrasound Prevents Murine Ischemia-Reperfusion Injury Via Neural Anti-Inflammatory Pathway In The Spleen.” He is working with both Joey Gigliotti and Mark Okusa.
Both researchers have been invited to compete in the National Young Investigators Forum in Las Vegas next month. Congratulations to both!
