2014 Best Doctors in America

51 from the DOM; 189 from UVA Health System

The Department of Medicine had 49 physicians selected to the 2014 Best Doctors in America® List by Best Doctors, Inc. out of the UVa Health System’s total of 181 physicians selected. About 5 percent of U.S. doctors earn inclusion on the list, according to Best Doctors.

Selections to the list are based on physician surveys; physicians cannot pay to be included on the list nor are they paid to provide their input.  Best Doctors, asks physicians questions that include, “If you or a loved one needed a doctor in your specialty, to whom would you refer them?”
