Important new guidelines aimed at eliminating unnecessary lab testing of hospitalized patients were published in the October 16th issue of JAMA Internal Medicine. Andrew Parsons, MD, MPH, assistant professor in the Hospital Medicine section of the Division of General, Geriatric, Palliative and Hospital Medicine, served as senior author of the paper.
