Li Li, MD, PhD, Named to Clinician Committee by Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services

Li Li, MD, PhD, professor and chair of UVA Family Medicine, was selected by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) to be among a handful of  clinicians and professional society representatives who will assess preventive screenings for select cancers. Clinician committee feedback will inform development of a patient-reported outcome performance measure by providing the perspective of the frontline healthcare workers for whom the measure will be most relevant.

CMS has contracted with Yale New Haven Health Services Corporation Center for Outcomes Research and Evaluation to assess the quality of care provided by clinicians who are eligible to participate under the Merit-based Incentive Payment System and will use data collected from patients.

Dr. Li is slated to meet with this group over the next 2 1/2 years.
