Popular Pooches Come Out to De-Stress Medical Students

On Nov. 17, University of Virginia Health System’s popular therapy dogs — friendly canines who visit with hospital patients — came out to de-stress UVA medical students at a study break dubbed the “5 Cs of Caring.” The Cs stand for cookies, canines, cider and cocoa, all of which were on hand for the students. And the last C? That stands for “contributions.” Event organizers also solicited donations of money and items for the Charlottesville-Albemarle SPCA.
