The Department of Radiology and Medical Imaging held its 2024 Radiology Research Week November 18-22, which included 21 research abstract submissions and a week of oral presentations.
Radiology Research Week aims to improve visibility for imaging research in the Department of Radiology and Medical Imaging, as well as the broader UVA School of Medicine. Over 4 days, trainees and junior faculty shared their radiology research on topics ranging from basic science to clinical to educational.
The department also awarded 5 winners among 4 categories: Best Overall, Best Basic Science, Best Clinical, and Best Educational. The Best Overall winner received $1000 to support travel and research expenses, while each category winner received $500.
The winners were decided by judges and UVA Radiology faculty members Stuart Berr, PhD; Klaus Hagspiel, MD; Arun Krishnaraj, MD, MPH; Jaime Mata, PhD; John Mugler, PhD; Joseph Rispoli, PhD; Alan Ropp, MD; and Mark Williams, PhD.
Congratulations to all the winners of the 2024 Radiology Research Week!
