UVA Scientists Making Impact in COVID-19 Research

Getty COVID graphicThe National COVID Cohort Collaborative (N3C) is a secure platform through which the harmonized clinical data from > 19 million persons provided by over 76 institutions across the United States is available with analytic tools for clinicians and researchers to ask complex clinical questions related to COVID-19.

Fifty-eight different researchers at UVA have been active in this enclave to date – collaborating with scientists across the country and sharing their results with 29 publications so far! The data itself can only be accessed through a secure cloud portal hosted by the NIH-NCATS and cannot be downloaded or removed in order to help protect the privacy and security of the data.

Researchers are invited to join the collaboration to understand more about the most pressing COVID-19 clinical questions. Support is available through iTHRIV to assist with on-boarding and utilization of the enclave.
