Thanks to the new partnership between Novant Health and UVA Health System we are pleased to announce the start of a Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Clinic at Novant Health UVA Health System Haymarket Medical Center. Requested by the pediatricians in Haymarket,this clinic offers an opportunity to provide fully-integrated specialized care close to home for our pediatric patients in Northern Virginia.
Emily Moses, M.D. Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at UVA board certified in both Pediatrics and Pediatric Hematology/Oncology, will be the primary physician seeing patients at the UVA Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Clinic at Haymarket. She is excited to be involved in this new venture. “I know there are several options for care and treatment in Northern Virginia. I am excited and proud to be able to offer UVA’s special brand of quality care to our patients and families there,” said Dr. Moses.
The UVA Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Clinic at Haymarket is equipped to see infants, children, and adolescents with various blood disorders and cancers. Management for disorders such as anemia, sickle cell disease, bleeding problems, or clotting disorders, as well as patients with cancer during their initial diagnosis and work-up will be provided on-site. Emily will work closely with our UVA-based team to provide comprehensive care for these patients and make sure they have coordinated access to the best treatment options.
The Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Clinic at Haymarket will be held every second Tuesday of the month from 9 am – 4 pm in the Heathcote Building of Novant Health UVA Health System Haymarket Medical Center, Suite 350.
