David Dixon is the new Director of the Hospital Education Program. Prior to his start with the program, David served as a high school principal in North Carolina and Virginia for seven years. Before becoming an Administrator, David taught AP Government and United States History while also coaching football and baseball. David earned a Bachelor of Arts from the Virginia Military Institute in Lexington, Virginia, where he played football and baseball for the Keydets. He also earned two Master of Arts degrees in Secondary Education and Educational Leadership from West Virginia University in Morgantown, West Virginia. His wife, Jennie, is the Librarian at Jackson-Via Elementary in Charlottesville and they have four beautiful children – Sydney (18), Sims (12), Nate (7) and Maggie (3).
