Congratulations to Karin League on her promotion to Associate Chief, Children’s Hospital and Women’s Health Services.  Karin is an experienced leader with a broad clinical and managerial background in pediatrics, maternal-child health and perioperative services.

Karin joined UVA Women’s and Children’s Services in 2011 after a lengthy career at Vanderbilt University Medical Center where she held a variety of positions in patient care services.  She is a graduate of Middle Tennessee State University (BSN) and Vanderbilt University (MSN).  While in the position of UVA’s Director of Inpatient Services for Women’s and Children’s, she led several quality initiatives including decreasing CLABSI, failure to rescue, unplanned extubations and improved fetal monitoring certification of staff.

The next time you see Karin wish her well in her new responsibilities and extend the offer of assistance as she continues to build Women’s and Children’s Services and completes the Battle Building.
