For the past year, UVA Children’s Hospital was the ONLY entity in the country to score 100% compliance with the
Children’s Asthma Care performance measure, one of the National Hospital Inpatient Quality Measures specified
by the Joint Commission and CMS. This is a great team effort, led magnificently by Dr. Lynn McDaniel. This objective data
confirms and advertises the outstanding quality of care we can provide here at UVA Children’s and also validates our
ability to make positive changes to our care processes.
