Halloween is a normal childhood experience that every child looks forward to each fall. Being in the hospital is hard enough on our young patients, it seems really unfair to miss out on such an exciting holiday. In an effort to provide normalcy for children and families, the Child Life Team organized the very first Reverse Trick-or-Treating for the patients on the 7th floor. Along with case managers, social workers, PCTs, therapists, and teachers the Child Life Specialists delivered special treats to each patient and sibling on 7 Acute and in the PICU. Children enjoyed wearing fun costumes and digging through their new treasures while parents were over-joyed to see their children smile and enjoy this special childhood memory.
