UVA Children’s Hospital, Richmond International Raceway, the Jeff Gordon Children’s Foundation, and Sprint joined forces to raise awareness for children and families impacted by cancer. A race car toy box, complete with a custom “24” paint scheme, was crafted and filled with toys to be donated to the UVA Children’s Hospital. The Raceway went gold to honor NASCAR Spring Cup Series driver Jeff Gordon.

We appreciate the team at Richmond International Raceway for using their race to shine a light on two very important issues, the need for increased public awareness of childhood cancer and the lack of adequate funding for pediatric cancer research. We also want to thank Jeff Gordon and the Jeff Gordon Foundation for partnering with you to make the events of this past month possible.
