From Steve Borowitz, MD:
As chair of the Blizzard Award Committee, it gives me great pleasure to inform you that the committee has unanimously chosen Kate Willson to be this year’s awardee. This award was established in 1989 to recognize the outstanding student of Pediatrics as judged by our faculty. During her medical school career, Kate has achieved a superb academic record, demonstrated great leadership, and exemplified humility, kindness and empathy. She is clearly a Pediatric Scholar. Please congratulate Kate when you see her.
The award ceremony will take place on Thursday, February 5, at 8:00 AM, immediately prior to Pediatric Grand Rounds. This year’s Blizzard Award Lecture will be given by Dr. Mark Hall, who was the winner of the Blizzard Award in 1994. Dr. Hall is currently the Chief of the Division of Critical Care Medicine and Research, and Director of Pediatric Critical Care Medicine at Nationwide Children’s Hospital.
