Associate Professor Vishal Madaan, MD, was awarded the 2022 Outstanding Academician Award by the Indo-American Psychiatric Association. The IAPA is the largest minority organization of the American Psychiatric Association. Dr. Madaan was honored for his noteworthy academic contributions to mental health through his research, teaching, and administrative activities. He leads the International Medical Graduates’ caucus at various national psychiatry organizations and co-chairs the APA’s international medical graduate workforce.
