Mitchell H. Rosner, MD, FACP, the Henry B. Mulholland Professor of Medicine and chair of the Department of Medicine, led efforts resulting in the selection of the University of Virginia as an ADPKD Center of Excellence for a three-year term 11/15/22 to 11/15/25.  ADPKD Centers of Excellence are designated by the Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD) Foundation to provide comprehensive multidisciplinary clinical service for families affected by ADPKD or autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease. The University of Virginia is one of only a dozen or so centers in the U.S. to receive this prestigious distinction.

The program’s mission statement includes: understanding PKD through research, ensuring better care for all individuals with ADPKD, and educating and empowering the community.

Congratulations to Dr. Rosner and the Department of Medicine Division of Nephrology on this outstanding honor.
