Professor of Public Health Sciences Sallie Keller, PhD, was invited to join the U.S. Census Bureau in a temporary assignment as part of an Intergovernmental Personnel Act (IPA) agreement between the University and the U.S Census Bureau. Sallie will assume the role of Chief Scientist and Associate Director for Research and Methodology with effect dates as follows: July 1 in a special advisory capacity and October 15 in her new role. Her primary UVA appointment is Distinguished Professor in Biocomplexity, and director of the Social and Decision Analytics division at the Biocomplexity Institute.
