Lois Shepherd, JD, the Wallenborn Professor of Biomedical Ethics at the School of Medicine’s Center for Health Humanities and Ethics and a Professor of Law and Public Health Sciences, was invited to join the United Network For Organ Sharing (UNOS) Ethics Committee. UNOS is the mission-driven non-profit organization serving as the nation’s transplant system under contract with the federal government. Its mission is to unite and strengthen the donation and transplant community to save lives.
