Li Li, MD, PhD, professor and chair of the Department of Family Medicine and co-leader of UVA Comprehensive Cancer Center’s Cancer Prevention and Population Health program, had a pivotal role as a contributing writer in the 13th Annual Report to Congress on Evidence Gaps in Clinical Prevention Services. His insightful contributions shed light on critical research gaps in mental health, emphasizing anxiety disorders, depression, and suicidal thoughts throughout life. Dr. Li’s department is also currently spearheading efforts to address escalating mental health needs by recruiting a third clinical psychologist.
We congratulate Dr. Li for his contributions to this nationally visible report, research that will have a translational impact on patient care, and fostering equitable well-being, at UVA Health and across the nation.
