Janet Cross, PhD
Janet V. Cross, PhD, Associate Dean for Graduate and Medical Scientist Programs and the Harrison Distinguished Associate Professor of Pathology and Medical Education, was recognized for contributions by the Medical Alumni Board of her alma mater, Case Western Reserve University. This award is presented annually to the alumnus who “best emulates the spirit of Dr. Vogt in unselfish devotion and extraordinary volunteer service to Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine.” Dr. Cross has been a member of the Medical Alumni Board since 2018 and has chaired the Engagement Committee since 2019. Through this role, she has worked to help the board build connections with the PhD alumni of the CWRU School of Medicine and has worked with the board staff to organize several opportunities for MD and PhD students at CWRU to connect with alumni through speed mentoring events. The award was presented at the recent CWRU Alumni Reunion Weekend, of which Dr. Cross also served as co-chair.
