Society of Research Administrators International’s (SRAI) Future of the Field recognition program aims to highlight the up-and-comers of research administration demonstrating leadership among their peers and institutions in innovative ways that advance the field.
Kayla Calvo, CRA, a School of Medicine research administrator and director of finance for the integrated Translational Health Research Institute of Virginia (iTHRIV), has been selected by SRAI to receive this esteemed recognition by a committee of research administrator peers. The program received more than 100 nominations from around the world. Applications were evaluated based on candidates’ career history, demonstration of exceptional professional growth, and significant contributions made to the advancement of research administration.

‘Future of the Field’ honorees will be formally recognized in October 2023 at SRAI’s annual meeting in Seattle.
