Tracey Hoke, MD, Selected as Committee on Women in Medicine and Science’s Woman of the Month for March

Tracey Hoke, MD, MSc, FAAP

During Women’s History Month, we celebrate the contributions and achievements of women across history. This month provides an opportunity for the Committee on Women in Medicine and Science (COWIMS) to honor the leadership of Tracey Hoke, MD, MSc, FAAP.

Dr. Hoke is a pediatric cardiologist with a graduate degree in Outcomes Research from The Bloomberg School of Public Health at Johns Hopkins. She serves as Chief of Quality and Performance Improvement at UVA Health since 2013. She is also currently serving as the acting Chief of UVA Population Health.

Dr. Hoke is a UVA Health leader with strategic vision who advocates for improvements in healthcare quality and outcomes. She provides direction for the development and implementation of improvements in the delivery of care at UVA Health. Dr. Hoke oversees performance improvement, management engineering, patient safety and risk management, infection prevention and control, analytics and reporting, accreditation, clinical staff office/credentials verification organization, project management office, and public health.

COWIMS is honored to celebrate Dr. Hoke for her dedication and outstanding contributions to UVA Health. She sets a great example for women in medicine and science.
