Rasheed Balogun, MD
Rasheed A. Balogun, MD, in collaboration with the Nigerian counterpart at Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital, was awarded support to continue the International Society of Nephrology’s Sister Renal Center (ISN-SRC) program for two years in 2023 and 2023. The funding will cover education and training of nephrologists at the hospital.
The ISN-SRC program pairs an Emerging Center (EC) from a low-resource country in need of training with a Supporting Center (SC) from a high-income country. The long-term goal is for the EC to become self-sufficient and able to provide better treatment and outcomes for patients with kidney diseases.
