Michael Mazzeffi, MD, MPH
The School of Medicine in pleased to announce that Michael Mazzeffi, MD, MPH, has been appointed as the Interim Chair of the Department of Anesthesiology, effective January 12, 2025.
Dr. Mazzeffi brings a wealth of experience and leadership to this role. His expertise will guide the department during this transition period. His commitment to excellence aligns perfectly with our mission to support patient care, educate the next generation of physicians, and manage important research programs.
We extend our sincere gratitude to everyone who participated in the selection process. The insights provided helped us identify a leader who embodies our values, supports our vision, and will provide sound leadership during this interim period. Additionally, we extend our thanks Dr. Peggy McNaull for her dedicated service as Chair of the department. Her leadership and commitment have greatly contributed to the department’s success, and we appreciate all her hard work and guidance over the years.
