The American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine (AOSSM) has announced Mark Miller, MD as its new president.
Dr. Miller is the S. Ward Casscells Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery and long time leader of the sports medicine division in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. He attended the Air Force Academy prior to earning his medical degree from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences. He completed his internship and residency in orthopedic surgery at Wilford Hall Ambulatory Surgical Center in San Antonio, Texas, and completed his fellowship in sports medicine and shoulder surgery at the University of Pittsburgh.
Dr. Miller, who succeeds Kurt Spindler, MD, will serve a 1-year term as president of the AOSSM.
