The mission of Virginia IMPACT is to bolster infectious disease preparedness within congregate care communities through building community and hosting monthly expert-led discussions across Virginia, with a focus on telehealth optimization as a tool for infection control, preparedness, and clinical care.

This month, VA-IMPACT is hosting a session entitled “The Birds and the Bees…and Artificial Knees: Sexually Transmitted Infections in Long-Term Care” on zoom at 12:30pm on 10/18/23. We will be joined by local infectious disease expert, Dr. Cirle Warren, as well as national geriatric expert, Dr. Aval Green, to discuss clinical and psychosocial aspects of sexuality in older adults and those living in congregate care communities, including advance care planning. You can register through Project ECHO. Registration is free and CE is available. Free continuing medical education for registered attendees, with instructions at the conclusion to obtain certificate. A recording of the discussion will be shared afterwards to those who have registered.
