The National Institutes of Health (NIH) has issued a new Policy for Data Management and Sharing. Proposals and renewals due on or after January 2023 will require a Data Management and Sharing Plan (DMSP) for projects that produce scientific data. The policy’s intent is to promote more comprehensive and effective sharing of research data as the norm for NIH-funded research.
