The 2nd Annual Partners in Health Engage Strides in Solidarity 5k Run

Partners in Health Engage, part of PIH – an international global health organization, invites you all to run the 2nd Annual Strides in Solidarity 5k on Sunday November 17th at 9 AM, starting at Newcomb Hall, to raise money for our fundraising campaign this year! The cost (all for our Tuberculosis campaign) is $15 until October 30th, and $20 after that.

PIH Engage’s fundraising campaign this year is for PIH’s work in providing Tuberculosis treatment around the world. As most of you know, Tuberculosis is a curable disease, and we have had this cure for decades. However, only 2 in 5 people with multidrug resistant tuberculosis get the treatment they need, and 1.3 million people die of tuberculosis each year, with 80% of these deaths being in low- and middle-income countries.

The fastest runners in each category will have their choice of Charlottesville gift card, and you can buy raffle tickets beforehand or day of for more raffled gift cards. Plus, the finish line is sure to have Halloween candy, Bodo’s bagels, apple cider, and more!
