Description/Learning Outcomes: The purpose of this learning activity is to provide participants with the knowledge and tools to create descriptions of their accomplishments suitable for inclusion in competitive award applications, and award and promotion nominations. During this interactive workshop, participants will: 1. learn tips and best practices on how to promote their accomplishments while making intentional language choices; 2. review sample descriptions of accomplishments; and 3. work in small groups to begin writing their stories of accomplishments.
By the end of this learning activity, participants will be able to: 1. utilize resources and employ best practices for writing strong descriptions of accomplishments; 2. create a draft description of at least one accomplishment; and 3. explain the importance of creating an impactful and well written stories describing their accomplishments. (1CME credit)
