As president of UNC Health Alliance, Dr. Gwynne leads UNC Health’s physician-led clinically integrated network, accountable care organization, and population health services organization. He oversees a provider network of more than 8,000 employed and independent providers and physicians, clinicians, and administrators. Overseeing the transition from volume to value is at the center of Dr. Gwynne’s work. He focuses on developing and delivering new models of data driven population healthcare, aligning provider incentives to achieve healthy-based outcomes, and developing payment models that incent and reward the delivery of affordable care.
