Juneteenth Grand Rounds Lecture “Amplifying the Need to Center Equity and Diversity in Research for Alzheimer’s Disease: Community Engaged Approaches”

The Department of Neurology will host Ishan C. Williams, PhD, FGSA, Associate Professor of Nursing, as our Juneteenth Grand Rounds Lecturer. Her lecture is titled “Amplifying the Need to Center Equity and Diversity in Research for Alzheimer’s Disease: Community Engaged Approaches.” Dr. Williams will provide an overview of Alzheimer’s Disease and the risks associated with Alzheimer’s Disease and related diseases, discuss the disproportionate impact on African American/Black families and describe innovative approaches to provide outreach efforts to recruit more representative samples.
