iTHRIV is proud to present the 4th Annual Healthcare Disparities Conference. This year’s theme is A Call for Collaboration: Intersectionality and Health Equity. The 2022 Key Note Speaker is Oluwaferanmi O. Okanlami, MD, MS.
The conference is an online, half‐day symposium for healthcare professionals that will address the role sociocultural barriers and intersecting identities play in the care of culturally and ethnically diverse patients. Invited speakers will discuss local, regional, and national approaches to improving awareness and overcoming bias.
Participants will have the opportunity to hear colleagues and community partners discuss their experiences with inequity and explore opportunities to improve the healthcare experience for patients, families, and healthcare teams.
The Inova Office of Continuing Medical Education is accredited by the Medical Society of Virginia to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
