Dean Melina Kibbe will welcome Kristie Lidie, PhD and Sandy Snyder, MSN, RN to the School of Medicine on February 1, 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. to present the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Programs (CDMRP). The presentation will be held in the Claude Moore Medical Education Building Auditorium and is open to all faculty interested in biomedical research.

Dr. Lidie is the deputy director of Program Management at CDMRP and Ms. Sandy Snyder is the program manager for the Military Burn Research Program (MBRP) and the Defense Medical Research and Development Program (DMRDP) – Battlefield Resuscitation & Immediate Stabilization of Combat Casualties (BRISCC).

This seminar is a wonderful opportunity to learn about funding opportunities and the potential for collaboration with the Department of Defense (DoD) on basic and translational research. The meeting will be in a town hall format, followed by roundtable group discussions where faculty members may meet with the DoD team to discuss individual questions. These small group discussions will be limited to approximately 10 people. Each faculty member is encouraged to sign-up for 2 selections. Please make your selections by 12:00 p.m. on Monday, January 30, with discussion assignments being announced by 4:00 p.m. Roundtable group discussions SIGN UP.
