Faculty Description/Learning Objective: Bias can be both conscious and unconscious and affects all areas of life including healthcare, with unfortunate (and sometimes deadly) consequences for patients. Join Kimberley for an evidence-based exploration of this topic which will include learning about biases in several different areas (sexual identity, physical weight, race, socioeconomic status, education, age, and disability), defining the scale of the problem, and how some in healthcare are working to combat bias and improve outcomes for patients. (1 CME credit)
Target Audience: Physicians and other faculty
