UVA Radiology & Medical Imaging presents the 15th Annual Tegtmeyer Lecture, titled: “From Bedside to Biosphere: Embracing Planetary Health in Healthcare.”

The talk will be delivered by Reed A. Omary, MD, MS, the Carol D. and Henry P. Pendergrass Professor of Radiology & Radiological Sciences at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Dr. Omary is an alumnus of the the University of Virginia’s diagnostic radiology residency, who also completed his master’s degree in epidemiology at UVA.

The lecture will be held on Thursday, March 14, 2024 at 5 p.m. in the Educational Resource Center on the 2nd Floor, Auditorium A. A welcome reception will be held from 4:30 to 5 p.m. in the ERC Auditorium lobby area.

The Tegtmeyer Endowed Lectureship was established in 2009 to honor Charles J. “Tunk” Tegtmeyer. In addition to an annual lecture, the project supports scholarly and educational activities for trainees and initiatives dedicated to the advancement of interventional radiology.
