The UVA Student National Medical Association (SNMA) hosted a virtual Q&A panel for pre-medical students at George Mason University (GMU) on April 17. Led by Chapter Co-President Aaliyah Meade and Vice-President Misky Sharif, the panel was catered to frequently asked questions about the pre-medical journey and life in medical school. The attendees of the session included a wide range of students — from those considering a career in medicine to students who are currently applying to medical schools. The panel is a continuation of the student-led mentorship partnership established this year between UVA SNMA and GMU, which included a Mini-Medical School Day for College Students at the Inova Campus earlier in the spring.

The UVA SNMA chapter would like to students who served as panelists for the session and provided invaluable insight and wisdom: Jasmina Abdalla (SMD25), Sarah Belay (SMD25), Michael Goncalves (SMD25), Jack Ham (SMD 26) and Stephen Chukwurah (SMD27).

Please reach out to incoming UVA SNMA Co-President at the Inova Regional Campus, Jasmina Abdalla, if you are interested in assisting in future program initiatives.
