UVA Health Continuing Education (CE) is excited to share a significant advancement benefiting our healthcare learners! Karen Rheuban, MD, Co-Founder and Director, UVA Center for Telehealth and Senior Associate Dean for CME and External Affairs, reports CloudCME will be implemented August 20, 2024.
It will replace up to seven systems with one cohesive platform supporting Joint Accreditation and meeting the diverse needs of our learners. “We will provide tools and resources to all course directors and departmental coordinators for courses and conferences, as well as training on the system,” says Dr. Rheuban. “Additionally, we will send an email to all of our CE course audiences, informing them of the transition and assuring them that all of their past CE records will be available in the new system.”
The UVA Health pediatric cardiologist and UVA School of Medicine Professor of Pediatrics adds, “I am grateful to our Director of Continuing Professional Development Melodye Farrar, MAEd, CHCP, CMP-HC, and our entire team, for their careful analysis of all potential platforms resulting in the selection of CloudCME as our UVA Health learning platform.”
“We’re confident the implementation of CloudCME will enhance significantly our ability to provide evidence-based, engaging, and lifelong learning opportunities that ultimately improve healthcare provider performance and patient outcomes,” explains Farrar.
