Michael Ryan, MD
Michael S. Ryan, MD, MEHP, is the 2024 recipient of the Council on Medical Student Education in Pediatrics (COMSEP) Research/Scholarship Award. Dr. Ryan is professor of pediatrics, associate dean for assessment, evaluation and scholarship, and the director of the School of Medicine Center for Excellence in Education.
COMSEP is an international community of educators dedicated to advancing medical education in pediatrics. The COMSEP Research/Scholarship Award is given to an individual who has contributed substantially to advancing the field of pediatric medical student education through their research and scholarly work. The recipient also has a track record of mentoring students and younger faculty in the scholarship of medical education and a demonstrated impact on changing student assessment and program evaluation at a national level.
