Alyssa Mixon and her dad
Alyssa Mixon, DO, wrote a message to future doctors about her late father’s influence on her becoming a doctor and his impact on medical students as an anatomical donor. The article titled “A Message to Future Doctors” was published in The DO, a digital magazine produced by the American Osteopathic Association (AOA).
Dr. Mixon is an assistant professor in the School of Medicine’s Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. As a cancer rehabilitation doctor, she cares for patients before, during, and after their cancer treatment.
