Academy for Excellence in Education 2025 inductees and leadership
The Academy for Excellence in Education (AEE) was founded to build an inclusive learning community of educators and to foster and honor educational excellence across the UVA School of Medicine. The 2025 inductees were honored at a ceremony on May 7. This year’s inductees include 17 faculty across seven departments and degree programs in the School of Medicine.
During welcoming remarks, Senior Associate Dean for Education Meg Keeley, MD, spoke of the joy that comes with recognizing committed and excellent educators. Membership Committee Chair Neeral Shah, MD, gave a brief history of the AEE and emphasized the role of service to both new and current members.
All AEE members have the opportunity to join one of five committees through the Center for Excellence in Education. New members were given highlights of each committee’s work in the 2024-2025 year and encouraged to sign up for the committee that best matches their area of interest.
