hospital ariel photoAs we celebrate Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, let us reflect on our shared mission of transforming health and inspiring hope for all Virginians and beyond.

We recognize that the success of UVA Health depends on the diversity of our team members who bring a wealth of experiences, perspectives, and ideas to help create a dynamic environment that enables our organization to grow and learn from each other. We believe that by embracing and celebrating our differences, we can create a more inclusive and equitable workplace where everyone has the opportunity to succeed. In turn, we’re able to deliver the best care possible to all of our patients and create a healthier, more equitable society.

This month’s Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander Heritage Month theme, “Advancing Leaders Through Opportunity,” is a reminder of our responsibility to support the professional development and advancement of all our team members, including those who are underrepresented within our organization, and as we continue to strive to become a best place to work and build an inclusive workplace for all team members and for exceptional patient care.
