Under the leadership of Rasheed Balogun, MD, a professor of medicine in the Department of Medicine, the UVA Division of Nephrology has developed a strong partnership with the Federal Medical Center in Owo, Ondo State, Nigeria.
Most recently, the division donated a major set of textbooks to the center to support education. In addition, Dr. Balogun spearheaded programs focused on research and career development with this center and partnered with the International Society of Nephrology.
