Medical Students Share Unique Experiences in Healthcare as Part of the Asian American, Native Hawaiian, & Pacific Islander Community

Medical students and members of the SOM’s chapter of the Asian Pacific American Medical Student Association (APAMSA), Davis Tran and Christine Huynh, sat down with UVA Health’s Healthy Balance team to share some of their experiences in healthcare, both as a patients and as a caregivers. The interview is part of UVA Health’s celebration of Asian American, Native Hawaiian, & Pacific Islander (AANHPI) Heritage Month in May. Davis and Huynh, who is community outreach director for APAMSA, use their experiences to promote the health and well-being of the AANHPI communities.
